Taking sport into schools
Sportscape Leisure provides a wide range of sports development packages for schools. We work with a large number of primary schools in Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire and provide professional physical education for more than 4000 children every week.
PPA Cover
Through stringent planning Sportscape Leisure Ltd. offer bespoke PPA sessions designed to meet any schools requirements whilst working within the boundaries of the Physical Education Curriculum. PPA cover can be provided for Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2.
The PPA programme is designed to aid social, technical, physical and intellectual development within an enjoyable sporting environment. This programme encourages each child to feel they are a valued member of the group and helps them to find their preferred sport while ensuring they are participating at a level to challenge them.

Afterschool Clubs
Throughout the year, Sportscape Leisure provides a variety of sports in the after-school clubs in each of our partner schools. Our unique multi-sports programme (see above) is specifically designed for the development of children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 & 2 and is already proving very popular at a number of schools in the area providing all the pupils in the school the opportunity to experience a wide variety of sports.
Regardless of age or experience, we provide a programme that caters for all.
All activities are fun, challenging and age appropriate. Within each of our sessions we utilise our Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) equipment to develop children’s generic sport skills such as agility, balance and co-ordination.
During the winter and the darker evenings we use an indoor programme, focusing on multi-skill development. Utilising our SAQ equipment we incorporate the agility, balance and co-ordination activities into sessions that aid the development of striking, catching, running, ball handling and many more skills.
Some of the sports that we are currently delivering include football, netball, cricket, basketball, athletics, rounders, badminton, tennis and orienteering.

Teacher Development Days
Sportscape Leisure Ltd. also cater for teaching staff during inset days and twilight sessions.
Sportscape’s unique teacher development programme has benefitted previous schools by:
- Improving the existing knowledge for the physical education curriculum within primary teaching (CPD).
- Gaining access to Sportscape Leisure Ltd. Short and Medium Term Plans for all age groups, in all areas of the Physical Education Curriculum.
